It's the simple things...

For as long as I can remember, walking in nature has been a daily ritual of mine. There’s something so simple yet powerful about putting one foot in front of the other, no matter what’s happening in my life.

Perhaps it’s being in nature - taking in the light, the wide skies and audacious trees. Or the rhythm of movement – dum-dum, dum-dum. Or perhaps the reassuring feeling of my feet landing on the surface of the planet; how solid and stable it all feels.

I recently heard someone describe it as ‘spying on the divine’, to which my body yelled “Oh hell YES! That’s IT!” (thank you Chip!)

I need this ‘coming home’ more and more these days. (I’m equally in awe and suspicious of anyone who gets by without it to be honest). So come rain or shine, it’s non-negotiable. Whether it’s the joy of watching the sunrise and sunset in India, or a wet foggy morning in the woods, I show up.

It’s a practice. A mindset. A way forward. An act of transformation. Ultimately, it is a path to feeling more connected and more alive. And lord knows, I (we) need to feel this!

So maybe you can get out there this week and ‘spy on the divine’, only to realise of course - she is you! 💛
