Healing Somatic Movement Immersion Weekend
Explore Movement as Medicine: for students and teachers
Somatic Movement is an amazing journey into yourself. This journey into your self-sensory system helps you to connect with your body, become more intuitive and clearer and learn to know yourself from deep within. The practice works on multiple levels: You can use it to refine your movement patterns, cultivate a loving and healthy relationship with your body, and with interoception, let go of deeply held tension in the body and mind.
It’s a practice of ‘deep body listening’ which creates an amazing flow-feeling in your body and brings you into natural states of meditation.
What You’ll Learn – More Somatic, Less Technical
Over two immersive days, you’ll explore:
-
Interoception: Reconnect to your body’s inner landscape and learn to move from felt sensation
-
Yoga Nidra & Movement: Learn to guide deeply restful states and combine them with healing movement
-
Fascia & Flow: Gently stretch, hydrate and activate your fascia system
-
Movement Anatomy: Develop a felt sense of how your body moves as a whole, not parts
-
Embodiment Practice: Shift from doing to being—on the mat and in your life
-
Teaching Foundations: Explore the basic principles of sharing somatic movement with others if that's something you're considering.
Open to both students and teachers. Whether you’re looking to deepen your own practice or start the journey toward teaching, you’ll leave with practical tools and renewed connection to yourself.

Who's it For?
This immersion is open to everyone interested in exploring and deepening the practice of Healing Somatic Movement or ‘active rest’ and maybe even considering teaching. No experience needed.

It’s especially suited for:
-
Anyone recovering from burnout, stress or chronic tension
-
Those longing for a gentler, more sustainable way to move and live
-
Yoga + movement students and teachers or bodyworkers curious about somatic integration

Kind Words...
“This work has completely changed how I teach—and how I listen to my body. Deborah’s way of guiding is spacious, wise and grounded."
- Lucy, Yoga Teacher & Coach
Deborah always inspires me with her teachings, she is welcoming and considerate in the information she delivers and space she holds. In all the trainings I have taken with many different teachers, Deborah's is always the one's I enjoy the most! This somatic weekend was a delightedly way to spend my weekend and all the information shared and experience was so useful and enjoyable. Whether you do yoga or not, this course is a great way to 'get into the body' and do some self exploration. I highly recommend anything with Deborah.
- Amanda, Yoga Teacher and Retreat Business Owner
“The training was so much more than I expected—practical, soulful, and deeply nourishing. It’s shifted how I relate to myself and how I hold space for others."
- Anya, Somatic Therapist

Meet your Facilitator
Hi, I'm Deborah Berryman
I’m a Somatic Movement Educator (ISMETA), Somatic Coach, and Senior Yoga Teacher who’s been guiding retreats, trainings, and workshops across the UK and internationally since 2012.

My teaching has been described as warm, real, and potent – an invitation to slow down, listen and trust the wisdom of your own body. I blend movement, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help women untangle the tension they’ve been carrying – the tight chest, the clenched jaw, the constant sense of “holding it all together.”
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with the part of themselves that feels calm and clear – less in their heads, more in their bodies, and more at peace with who they are. These practices aren’t about fixing anything. They’re about reclaiming your aliveness, your wholness and joy, and the quiet, grounded steadiness that makes life feel like it’s yours again.
