Introduction to teaching Somatic Movement

Explore movement as medicine

Somatic Movement is an amazing journey into yourself. This journey into your self-sensory system helps you to connect with your body, become more intuitive and clearer and learn to know yourself from deep within.  The practice works on multiple levels: You can use it to refine your movement patterns, cultivate a loving and healthy relationship with your body, and with interoception, let go of deeply held tension in the body and mind.
It’s a practice of ‘deep body listening’ which creates an amazing flow-feeling in your body and brings you into natural states of meditation.

In this training Deborah Berryman shares the qualities, personal experiences and attitudes that are important in those drawn to teaching meditation, as well as the challenges and pitfalls that may arise.

About the Teacher

Deborah is a Somatics Level 4 teacher, training with some of the best teachers in this field including Tias Little, Kaila June and Peter Appel. With a keen interest in working with trauma and addiction, she's also studied with Ralf Marzen, Dr Gabor Mate and Richard Schwartz to better understand how movement and meditation can help us to find more freedom. Drawing on over 20yrs of teaching experience, she is a personal mission to share the benefits of delving into these practices in community.  By offering these experiences, the space for healing connection opens up to empower others.

Deborah will draw from over a decade of curating and delivering teacher trainings. You’ll hear inspiring stories, examples and reflections that allow you to use this learning as a way to grow for both you and your students.
