Healing Somatic Movement

A felt sense of "I know I'm ok. I can trust myself"

Does this sound familiar?

You spend most of your life in your head - thinking, planning, holding everything together. You know what helps, but you still struggle to slow down.

You can look calm on the outside while your nervous system is quietly running a marathon.

You don't need to try harder, but you do need somewhere safe enough to soften.

Less performing, more listening

Like yoga, somatic movement is an umbrella term encompassing many different approaches.  While some focus primarily on movement quality, pain reduction, embodied anatomy or nervous system regulation, my interest is broader.

I'm interested in how changing our relationship with our body changes our relationship with ourselves.

Our bodies adapt to everything we've lived through. Stress. Responsibility. Grief. Love. Belonging. Over time those adaptations don't just shape how we move, they shape how we live - the decisions we make, the relationships we create, the work we choose, and the futures we believe are possible.

Healing Somatic Movement uses the body as a doorway into living more honestly.

Through gentle movement and embodied awareness, we begin to recognise the patterns we've been living, soften those that no longer serve us, and create enough space to notice what feels quietly true.

Little by little, we begin to recognise ourselves again - not as someone new, but as who we've been beneath everything we've learned in order to belong, cope and stay safe.

The goal isn't simply a body that moves with more ease.

It's a life that feels more like your own.

The intention behind the practice

Many women first discover my work through somatic movement workshops, immersions and teacher trainings.  What often surprises them is, the movement isn't the destination - it's a simple and potent doorway back to themselves.

Perhaps you've spent years doing yoga, reading the books, journalling, meditating or even training as a teacher and yet something still feels unresolved. If you find yourself stuck in the same patterns, you may find you're looking for something deeper than movement alone.

Many of the people drawn to this work are the ones everyone else turns to.

Teachers.

Therapists.

Coaches.

Mothers.

Carers.

Burned out Professionals.

The woman who's always holding everything together and quietly wondering "When do I get to put all this down?"

Where would you like to begin?

For some people, a short session is enough. For others, it becomes the beginning of something much bigger.

If you leave wanting more time, more depth and more practice, the weekend Immersion or coaching is the natural next step.

Why I teach this work For over twenty years I've been fascinated by one question: How do we learn to recognise what feels quietly true and trust it enough to build a life around it? Everything I've studied - from yoga and mindfulness to somatics, trauma, coaching and Internal Family Systems - has simply been in service of understanding that question more deeply. I care far less about collecting techniques than creating experiences that genuinely change how someone relates to themselves. The credentials are there if you're interested. But what matters most to me is that people leave feeling calmer, clearer and more themselves than when they arrived.
